In this month's issue of The Otonomist, we introduce a new section and bring a previous one back. We added an "Decentralized Learning" section to push educational contents, and brought back the "Recent Reads" section to share long form finds. In addition, we bring the usual product update and report from the dev desk. Finally, we share where Otonomos will be IRL and when.
Hope you keep warm during winter in the Northern Hemisphere!

DECENTRALIZED LEARNING
The time to set up your own investment fund is now! See how all the pieces come together
After you view this podcast, you'll know how all pieces of an offshore fund come together so you can setup yours.
Back in 2021, we pushed our most-popular-ever, four-part "Now Everybody Can Be Michael Burry" post on how to set up your own hedge fund and why it is a lot less daunting than you think.
By way of update, we recently recorded a podcast explaining how all pieces - including the fund vehicle, its manager and a U.S. feeder - fit together, using a whiteboard so you can follow the setup step-by-step.
Whether you're in TradFin and look to seed a new strategy or are crypto-native and want to go beyond proprietary trading, book a call today to explore how Otonomos hacked the fund setup fees and gets you launched in record time.
> Do it now whilst the markets are soft so you can pick up assets on the cheap!
PRODUCT UPDATE
New Year, new skin, new engine

In early 2026, our development desk finished a heroic sprint by conducting final tests on a new front-end for Otonomos and delivering on a refactored database.
- The front-end makes it even easier than before to self-select your company's base with full price transparency, or seek guidance from our experts.
- You can also interrogate our AI for specific questions related to jurisdictions and our products.
- But there is more than what meets the eye: under the bonnet, Otonomos hums on a whole new backend, putting order processing, entity activation and client support on more robust rails.
Our users expect everything online, which is why we build the tech that lets you form and maintain your companies from your browser: effortless, transparent and fast.

RECENT READS
Cities on Mars will be Sovereign Realms on Blockchain, powered by Quantum Computed Artificial Intelligence

- Cities on Mars (2023), by author couple Kelly and Zach Weinersmith, is in many ways a reality check on how soon we can make it to Mars and how hostile a planet Mars - and space generally - is. Not quite a cold but rather a lukewarm shower on space enthusiasts who hope to get to Mars on SpaceX's next Starship!
- Quantum Computing: From Colossus to Qubits (2023) by John Gribbin is in many ways an annotation to Alan Turing's and David Deutsch's work, with some Richard Feyman and biographical faits divers thrown in. A useful intro nonetheless that invites further reading, especially of Deutsch's work.
- Artificial Intelligence: A Guide for Thinking Humans (2019) by Melanie Mitchell is wonderful in style and wondrous in contents. Written in 2019 and hence not capturing the recent breakneck developments in AI (which are in essence a mere scaling up vs. a radical re-engineering of earlier tech), the book is a first-best intro into a technology that may change everything - whilst changing nothing.
- Farewell to Westphalia (2025) by Jarrad Hope and Peter Ludlow is a provocative treatise on how smart contracts can become the Operating System for governance and Government. The book riffs on ideas about sovereignty on blockchains I've been exploring myself in my personal blogs in 2022, 2021 and 2020 and takes a refreshing view on how we can practically move on from the centralized, Westphalian top-down state. Must read for libertarians and anarchists and anyone in between on the political spectrum!

FROM THE DEV DESK
What's in store for 2026
Our 2026 roadmap is dominated by AI as a way to not only guide users but to also do actual work for them.
Our thesis is that there is nothing a human corporate services agent does that cannot be done by AI, from preparing resolutions to opening bank accounts to doing filings.
Companies managed by AI will win from analog companies. Eventually, Otonomos aims to provide the tech rails for agent-to-agent commerce.
Most immediately, we want to put AI at your service e.g. by staging forms online and having your AI sidekick fill them out for you, avoiding tedious copying and pasting of information we keep on file for you anyhow.
> Keep an eye on our progress and share your biggest frictions when building and managing a business via our official Telegram channel.
